HETRO Welcomes INSPIRY Delegation from Indonesia to Tap a 280-Million-Person Market

On a crisp August day, Suzhou HETRO Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. hosted a senior delegation from PT INSPIRY Konsultan, one of Indonesia’s leading medical-consumables solutions providers. In a cordial yet dynamic atmosphere, the two sides explored pathways for long-term collaboration across the Indonesian archipelago.

As Southeast Asia’s largest economy, Indonesia commands a population of roughly 280 million and is widely regarded as the region’s next high-growth frontier. Rapid manufacturing upgrades and supply-chain optimization have pushed demand for premium automation equipment to an all-time high. INSPIRY’s visit therefore arrives at a pivotal moment for HETRO’s international expansion.

Mr. Harris LIU, General Manager of HETRO, opened the session with a concise overview of the company’s three core competencies:

• Leak-testing systems for flexible bags  

• Catheter-tip forming, punching and finishing lines  

He emphasized HETRO’s strategic urgency to enter Indonesia, not merely to sell machines but to embed technology, know-how and service that will elevate local production standards.

Ms. Syifa AMIRTA, Director for Partnership & International Relations at INSPIRY, reciprocated with a comprehensive briefing on INSPIRY Group’s structure—medical-device distribution, regulatory consulting, contract manufacturing and after-sales networks spanning Jakarta, Surabaya and Medan. She sketched a concise map of Indonesia’s medical-device and disposables market, highlighting double-digit growth in infusion and dialysis consumables where HETRO’s portfolio is an immediate fit.

The dialogue then pivoted to business models. Over whiteboards and coffee, scenarios evolved from distributor agreements to joint ventures, from tech-licensing arrangements to localized service teams. HETRO pledged to select the most agile model that aligns with on-the-ground demand, ensuring mutual, long-term value.

“Partnership is more than today’s purchase order; it is tomorrow’s market share and the day-after-tomorrow’s innovation pipeline,” a HETRO executive remarked. The goal, he stressed, is to co-create an ecosystem in which Indonesian companies gain world-class capacity while HETRO gains a sustainable beachhead in ASEAN.

Led by Mr. Ge Demin, HETRO’s Operations Director, the delegation toured the company’s R&D center, precision-machining shop and live pilot lines. Engineers from both sides engaged in animated, hands-on exchanges around servo-driven sealing jaws, micro-pressure leak sensors and laser-guided catheter punches.
